About the role

Our Global Partnerships team is responsible for delivering the objectives set by the Tesco Group Agreement Framework. This roles requires ongoing internal & external stakeholder management internally and externally, to develop trusted relationships with suppliers and local category teams. This involves negotiating long term Group agreements and working in an agile way to implement these within the various Tesco markets.

You will be responsible for

  • Building and maintaining a trusting relationship with suppliers and local category teams to deliver TGA objectives. 
  • Lead the negotiation of group agreements with suppliers. 
  • Create compelling engagement plans to implement the global agreements in each Tesco market and Business Unit.
  • Intervene and facilitate recovery plans to support the agreement and delivery of counterparts.
  • Tracking and reporting on progress made each period vs forecast and budget.
  • Identifying new value adding opportunities to generate growth for Tesco and our strategic partners.
  • Forecasting and managing budgets effectively.  Delivering quantum profit targets.  Always being cost conscious.
  • Adhering to all Tesco policies, storage and hand-over protocols and successfully completing all my training so that I have zero GSCOP breaches.  Ensuring all agreements are recorded in writing, reporting GSCOP complaints to Legal within 48 hours of receipt, and leading a culture of compliance within the team.
  • Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence.

You will need

Experience relevant for this role:

  • Previous experience managing large suppliers, preferably branded
  • Understanding Group approach to projects
  • Buying or Selling experience in Product (food or non-food)
  • Influencing a large number of stakeholders including Director and Executive level
