About the role

Our new Finance Graduate programme will ensure you gain a breadth of valuable experience early in your career as a finance professional.

We’ll make sure you maximise your opportunity to learn and develop your skills while on the programme. Based in our Head office in Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin, you could be providing analysis to business leaders that drives change in our stores, creating and landing financial plans and budgets for the year ahead or partnering with our buyers to help with a new product launch.

Whether it’s building the technical skills required, or the communication, analysis and insight capabilities essential for the finance professional of the future, this programme will ensure the best possible start to your finance career.

Your experience with us

Induction – We’ll kick off with an induction, where you’ll learn more about our business and your programme. It’s a great opportunity for you to meet your fellow graduates. You’ll then be introduced to your team, so you can get to know more about your role or project and the area you’ll be working in.

Programme structure – You’ll gain a breadth of business experience and skills as you complete three 12-month placements in different parts of our finance teams. During your programme you’ll be supported through your CIMA studies, with paid leave and the breadth of experience you’ll need for the practical requirements of the qualification. You’ll also be supported through the programme by your colleagues, a mentor and a buddy.

Where next? – This breadth of experience will help you think about your future at Tesco as a finance professional beyond the programme. As you finish your programme, you should be well-equipped to excel in a role that plays to your unique strengths and interests.

You will be responsible for

You’ll be given responsibility from day one, so you can gain a deep knowledge of your role through hands-on experience. You’ll have access to a wide variety of workshops and resources, online or at our on-site training academy. This will help you develop skills like building your network, developing your authentic brand and leading change, as well as looking after your wellbeing. And don’t worry, you’ll be supported throughout your graduate programme by your manager and your buddy – they were in your shoes not so long ago!

You will need

We’re looking for quick learners who are keen to work in a fast-paced environment. You’ll need to be a team player, and able to accurately and confidently apply the technical skillset learned in your CIMA studies. While fully supported every step of the way, you’re someone who thrives on responsibility, challenge and problem solving.

All that we ask is that you already have or are on track for a 2:2 degree.

We need people who share our ambition to deliver for our customers; passionate and confident people willing to take the initiative and drive us forwards. In return we offer excitement, a great team, an excellent benefit package and significant career development opportunities.
