About the role

The Online Media and Partner Engagement Team is responsible for building relationships with our key strategic partners and subsequently unlocking value by developing Online plans with these Partners and Dunnhumby.

An astute Online Media and Partner Engagement strategy will step-change Tesco's Advantage and Advertiser Survey results whilst also enhancing the value-proposition for shoppers and brand owners. Tesco will also benefit from incremental financial returns.

You will be responsible for

Whilst specific responsibilities will be dependent upon the changing needs of the Tesco business, the following provides an overview of the role’s key responsibilities and measures:

  • Support the delivery of the Online Partner Media sales budget, in collaboration with Dunnhumby by optimising and developing digital media propositions.
  • Continually assess and review performance of our owned Online Media, enabling us to optimise accordingly and ensure our media portfolio supports customer satisfaction, Partner satisfaction and better returns for Tesco.
  • Define, develop and test new Online Media propositions for Partners which are industry-leading, help drive Partner satisfaction and better returns for Tesco.
  • Review and assess the performance of new Online Media propositions against Customer, Tesco and Partner objectives and key results (OKRs) in order to inform and prioritise our future development roadmap.  
  • Communicate our Online Partner Media performance, priorities and development roadmap to internal stakeholders as required.
  • Introduce and champion initiatives to ensure ongoing development of our relationship with Dunnhumby to drive forward Online Partner Media opportunities.
  • Build strong relationships and close alignment with other functions and teams across the business, including, Online Product, Online Development, Customer Marketing and Commercial Product to drive forward Media opportunities.
  • Optimising existing Online Media propositions and ways of working across teams within Tesco and Dunnhumby.
  • Managing the delivery of our Online mass sampling campaigns, driving efficiencies to the existing process.
  • Facilitate joint meetings and governance on an ongoing basis.
  • May involve line management.

You will need

You’ll need to have demonstrated experience of:

  • Ability to translate insights and trends into strategic opportunities and action plans.
  • Experience in developing and delivering propositions aligned to customer, partner or financial metrics.
  • Effective delivery of cross functional initiatives.
  • Commercial acumen.
  • Understanding of ecommerce and media industries.
  • Project management

Personal:

  • Collaboration and relationship building capability.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal).
