About the role

Tesco Mobile are now recruiting for a Digital On-Site Search Executive to capitalise on the leap forward in terms of our ability to segment and target rich, relevant experiences, create profiles for specific audiences that the trading team/merchandisers would use to build up customer experiences

You will the owner of the on-site search platform and capabilities - best match, curating results etc, product recommendations, A/B testing indices, bundles, cross sell and upsell opportunities etc

You will be responsible for

  • Passionate about search and on-site experiences, you will be conducting the following in your day-to-day duties.
  • Analysing on-site search to increase conversion, demand, click through rate and bounce rate
  • Making decisions on upcoming site search enhancements
  • Leading third party vendor communication on the implementation of strategies to drive improvements for browsing
  • Working with the CRO team to create new A/B tests and act as the business lead in the ideation of testing strategies
  • Developing and defining recommendations for site enhancements to improve the customer experience through content presentation and navigation
  • Review performance of individual audience types to compare and contrast performance, ultimately delivering improved conversion rate opportunities  
  • Work closely with digital to ensure a joined-up process and suggested audiences are fully evaluated, with a two-way conversation to optimise the overall positioning

You will need

  • Experience in a similar on-site or product search role
  • Working knowledge of Algolia Search platform or other dedicated search products
  • A good understanding of CRO, testing and customer journeys
  • Excellent Analytical and Reporting skills
  • Experience in digital ecommerce with exposure to customer service, Testing, UX and complex projects
  • Ability to work autonomously, a true self-starter guided by customer-centric common sense
  • Highly organised, able to balance several projects simultaneously
  • Possesses a ‘problem solving’ approach
  • High attention to detail, performing well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to work collaboratively but make tough decisions when necessary
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate and influence effectively at management level
  • Able to ruthlessly prioritise workload based on customer and business benefit
