About the role

As a Product Manager working within the People function, you will lead in defining the product development roadmap based on the strategic goals of the business owners. Designing and documenting product features based on user requirements and feedback, ensuring continuous feedback is implemented managing the full product life cycle.

Working with the Head of Product, you will be collaborating with the wider programme team including business owners, engineering, testing and business change to support the development of your product. The Reward & Benefits product suite include several key solutions including online sites to allow all colleagues to administer their benefits package, total reward statements and the annual pay & bonus review cycle.

You will be responsible for

  • Defining the strategy and road-map to make clear priority decisions and recommendations for Reward & Benefits solutions across the business.
  • Defining and writing detailed product requirements, considering constraints, protecting the out of the box product solution from customisations where cloud solutions are providing services, while maintaining a well-defined backlog.
  • Being the champion and building strong relationships with our stakeholders and internal users, fully understanding and representing their needs, observing them using the product, capturing feedback and building into future requirements.
  • Working in partnership with engineering and testing teams to develop a superb product and use data to drive decisions and measure the effectiveness of the outcome in terms of value to our colleagues.
  • Challenging the status quo, delivering continuous improvement, formulating and proposing ideas for the long-term road-map, alongside managing stakeholder engagement and their expectations.
  • Pro-actively growing my knowledge by researching the market, suggesting innovative solutions and ideas to business problems, building and maintaining an excellent external network used for benchmarking and finding out what is happening in other organisations and actively completing CPD (continued professional development
  • Managing and developing the Associate Product Manager for this product area
  • Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence.

You will need

  • Experience of working in a People function and ideally Reward & Benefits
  • A positive, can-do attitude, contributing to the energetic and motivated team environment
  • Strong communicator and excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Good understanding of people analytics, people KPIs and proficient in excel as well as other applications
  • Experience working in a Product or Technology background
  • Critical thinking and ability to translate complex data into business action
  • Ability to manage own workload able to meet deadlines/commitments in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work with multiple teams to deliver projects, often across time zones
  • Strong technical knowledge balanced with deep business understanding
  • Building a partnership approach to working with business teams
  • Product experience using the Oracle HCM Cloud Compensation module (desirable)
