About the role

Responsible for the effective running of the end to end payroll cycle. Working in partnership with managers to ensure colleagues are paid correctly on time, first time. 

You will be responsible for

  • Acting as the main point of contact with our payroll provider and providing ongoing system support
  • Ensuring the correct information is shared with our provider and Finance when processing the monthly payroll 
  • Running and reviewing period reports in order to highlight any inputting errors from management/ colleagues, specifically in relation to absence, overtime, expenses, salary changes etc.
  • Processing end of year tasks such as pay review, bonus, P11D's, P60's, NIC contributions, gender pay gap etc.
  • Supporting auditors and providing the necessary information required
  • Ensuring the Isle of Man payroll is processed on a monthly and yearly basis
  • Processing ADHOC payroll tasks such as CSA, DWP payments, car loan and mileage supplements, motoring fines
  • Administering the Company pension scheme, amending contributions, new starters, leavers, auto/contractual enrollment and death in service payments and attendance at the Pension & Life Assurance governance meetings, providing relevant input
  • Processing HMRC and tax related documents, such as P45's and P46's
  • Creating and running monthly payroll reports in order to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Supporting in the creation of monthly people KPI's to share with the wider people team and managers

  • Adherence with payroll legislation (inc. pensions)
  • Creation of purchase orders
  • End of year costing's (class 1 NIC and benefits)
  • Sign off of monthly payroll

You will need

  • Understanding of payroll and payment procedures made via an outsourced provider
  • Knowledge of HMRC issues and regulations
  • Awareness of data GDPR legislation
  • Familiarity with compliance around accurate file keeping
