About the role
This exciting role within our Insights team will be responsible for preparing/cooking food samples for product testing ensuring the food preparation and facilities maintain all required food and hygiene regulations.
The Insight cook is a part time role working Monday's, Tuesday's & Wednesday's, with hours of 8:30am - 4:30pm.
You will prepare food across the whole of our product range (including Meat, Nuts & Dairy) and provide samples for panellists and customers to blind test.
You will be responsible for
Planning and preparing the kitchen prior to testing i.e.coding plates, setting up kitchen equipment.
Preparing product using the preparations and cooking instructions detailed on the product packaging.
Prepare samples for panellists/customers to blind test.
Ensuring food hygiene regulations are observed at all times, using the correct tools and methods in line with the standards set out within the company procedures and maintaining a '5' star food hygiene rating.
Supporting the wider insight teams for and samples/preparation needed for customer research.
Responsible for cleaning kitchen equipment daily/deep cleaning the kitchen ensuring a 5 star hygiene standard.
Monitor consumables and raise orders when needed.
Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence.
Supporting the compliance of GSCOP by ensuring all product testing is completed and reported fairly and accurately.
You will need
- Food preparation in a customer facing environment.
- Broad range of food preparation skills.
- Ability to accurately follow food preparation instructions and processes.
- Strong planning and organisational skills.
- A good level of IT/computer skills, in particular Microsoft Office programmes
- Ability to respond to change quickly and work in a fast paced environment.
