About the role
As a Reporting and Analytics Product specialist working within the People function, you will develop and deliver reports, dashboards and analysis to help answer key business questions.
Working alongside the Lead Reporting & Analytics Product Owner, you will deliver the roadmap alongside colleagues in Technology.
You will be responsible for
- Building strong relationships with our business stakeholders
- Working with stakeholders to define requirements and plan delivery of reports, dashboards and analysis to support the People Strategy
- Developing innovative solutions in the delivery of the People reporting & analytics service. Translate management reporting requirements from across the function into Business Intelligence reports, dashboards and visualisations that meet requirements
- Partnering with the engineering team and other Product teams to support agile Product delivery
- Assist with data extraction, transformation, and manipulation for ad-hoc analytics in the Oracle platform or through other applications
- Driving a self-serve Reporting & Analytics culture at Tesco
- Partner with data governance owners to develop datasets that will support data discovery and data quality checks
- Ensure data integrity by working with data governance and the data quality manager developing necessary processes and controls
- Collaborating with our Central Data & Analytics team and other relevant teams to drive a strategic and connected approach to Reporting & Analytics within the People Function.
- Ensuring reporting and analytics is implemented in accordance with best practices
- Up skilling relevant colleagues on/offshore in reporting and analytics to build data confidence
- Continuous development of own reporting and analytics capability, utilising learning, networks and latest thinking in this field
- Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence
You will need
- Oracle product experience is required, knowledge of Tableau or MicroStrategy ideal but not essential
- Experience of working in a People/HR function is desirable
- Good understanding of people analytics, people KPIs and proficient in excel as well as other applications
- Experience working in a Product or Technology background
- Critical thinking and ability to translate complex data in to business action
Operational skills;
- Strong communicator and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to manage own workload able to meet deadlines/commitments in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work with multiple teams to deliver projects, often across time zones
- Strong technical knowledge balanced with deep business understanding
- Building a partnership approach to working with business teams
