You will be responsible for

·You put people at the heart of everything you do and every decision you make. You  are a role model for our company values.

·You will be responsible for dealing with internal auditors, supporting team with year end processes. This requires knowledge of both IFRS and UK GAAP.

·You will be responsible for controlling the integrity of balance sheets and journals. Ensuring that balance sheet reconciliations are accurate and timely, and that the balance sheet framework is well communicated to the business and Group Best Practice is adhered to.

·Calculate major provisions, review the calculation of all other provision and track movements.

·Responsible for reconciling and posting monthly Intercompany transactions with group.

·assist in financial reporting to the wider Tesco Group, which requires me to work across company boundaries and systems.

·Produce the pension accounts and maintain the pension bank reconciliation and cash book.

·You will be responsible for the compliance of the Key Financial Controls for the business, ensuring controls are sufficiently robust.

·Actively engage with senior staff to gain a good understanding of the business.

·Ad-hoc project work to support senior management.

·Ensure you keep abreast with changes to UK GAAP and IFRS financial reporting frameworks.

·Undertake CPD.

You will need

Skills Required

•Strong technical and analytical skills.

•Knowledge of the external audit process and preparation of statutory financial statements.

•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

•Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure.

•Ability to work on my own initiative and as part of a team.

•Ability to juggle multiple tasks.

Qualification Needed

•ACA qualified or equivalent.

•Technical knowledge and training in financial reporting and accounts.

•Knowledge of retailing.
