You will be responsible for

You are responsible for delivering the One Stop Community Plan that is designed to :

•Empower all colleagues to be actively involved in their local community.

•Develop and maintain engaging and sustainable internal/external relationships between store teams and community groups.

•Manage and take the lead on National fundraising for our national charity partners.

Manage the businesses Community Budget:

•Administer, action and demonstrate due diligence in the distribution of several hundred thousands of pounds to hundreds of local community groups - working with finance, 3rd parties and community groups nationwide.

•Receive store requests for company funds to allow colleagues to fundraise, you are responsible for authorising, administrating and distributing these funds through  the Community Chest – ensuring a clear audit trail.

•You are responsible for accurate auditable payments to national charities.

•You are responsible for purchasing community tools for stores utilising and managing the budget effectively to achieve maximum returns for good causes.

Colleague and Community Engagement

•You are responsible for engaging approximately 450 one stop store teams and 15 area managers including franchise to be actively involved in their communities.

•You will achieve this engagement through a variety of methods including store visits, making videos or other communication tools, actively running What's App groups.

•Manage direct relationships with 3 National Charity partners involving contracts, product purchasing and fundraising campaigns  – aiming to raise 3 figure sums each year for each charity partner.

•Work with our charity partners to create national campaigns aimed at educating and raising awareness amongst all One Stop colleagues of social issues that impact our local communities.

•Pro-actively work with hundreds of Community Groups to develop relationships with our store teams.

•You are commercially aware of what the competitors are doing and always look at innovative ways One Stop can address the needs of the local community.

•Provide a regular supply of social media content for One Stop Marketing Team to use to promote our work in the Community nationwide.

•The ability to engage, communicate, influence and build effective working relationships with colleagues at all levels across all parts of the business

•Tenacity and determination to deliver with urgency with the ability to adapt and change with the needs of the business

•Great communication skills – good written and spoken English, numeracy and basic IT skills
