You will be responsible for

•Provide administrative support to the Licensing Manager

•Assist with the implementation of legislation to ensure legal compliance

•Implement process to ensure stores, distribution centres, store colleagues and the company remain correctly licensed

•Ensure processes are simple, effective and fit for purpose

•Process licensing applications to ensure stores trade legally

       - Personal Licence applications & amendments

       - Premises Licence amendments

       - Designated Premises Supervisor (DPS) variations

       - Designed Premises Manager (DPM) variations

       - Minor/ Major variations

       - New Premises Licence applications

       - Firework Licence applications

•Process criminal record checks

•Ensure certified copies of premise licences are obtained

•Cascade licences to stores/ distribution centres

•Ensure licensing spreadsheets and database are kept up to  date

•Monitor licensing report to ensure legal compliance

•Process payments for applications and annual fees

•Deal with queries/ enquiries from internal and external parties

•Log external test purchase results and communicate fails to the business

•Collate external test purchase due diligence

•Assist with the management of the internal test purchase programme

•Complete reports on compliance

•Monitor budgetary performance

•Advise and support stores with general enquiries

•Obtain and implement legal advice on age restricted products and licensing matters from inhouse and external legal teams.

You will need

•Previous experience in an administrative role

•Database management

•Experience which demonstrates achieving a goal as part of a team e.g. cross functional working is essential

•Knowledge of Retail is preferred but not essential

•Computer literate- Microsoft Office , particularly working with Excel spreadsheet and databases.

•Ability to follow dependant linked tasks from start to finish in order to ensure all stores remain legal and able to sell age restricted products

•Attention to detail, accuracy of information

•Good customer service skills.
