About the role

As a Project Manager in the Business Support function, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, trialing and implementing initiatives that improve the operation in our stores – both Large and Convenience.  This could focus on how we serve our customers, how we replenish our shelves, or just about any other area of store activity.

The team includes people with a wide range of skills and backgrounds, but all share an appetite for driving the change that will transform the business and make things better for customers. There is a real passion for personal development within the team and this role offers a fantastic chance to build a breadth of experience by working with functions right across the business, which can often open up future career opportunities.

You will be responsible for

  • Define, develop and deliver trial solutions to ensure the existence of a project pipeline
  • Implement proven trial solutions across all suitable stores, working effectively with operational teams in both store and the office to do so
  • Engage and lead the cross-functional groups needed to progress trials or delivery
  • Influence stakeholders across the office, stores and suppliers, to ensure support is in place and decisions are made as required
  • Build, manage and execute detailed project plans, key documentation and process maps
  • Quantify project benefits and realise these through delivery
  • Track project deliverables and manage risks and issues

You will need

  • Project Management experience 
  • Financial awareness with the numerical ability to create detailed complex business cases
  • Written and verbal communication and presentation
  • Problem solving and analysis
  • A keen interest in exploring new ideas, concepts and ways of approaching a situation/process differently
  • Ability to interact with and influence stakeholders at all levels
