About the role
Reporting to The Head of Procurement Strategy & Delivery, the Supplier Relationship Manager will play a critical role in the development and implementation of a robust Supplier Relationship Management approach across the whole of Tesco’s GSNFR Group Procurement functions.
In this role you will be focusing on:
- Capture value through the contract life-cycle, proactively manage supplier risk and harness innovation in the supplier base
- Develop and implement a Best in Class approach to Supplier Relationship Management
- Driving the adoption of an innovation culture across the Group Procurement Community leveraging strategic supplier relationships to work in partnership
- Support the proactive management of Supplier risk in GSNFR supply base
You will be responsible for
Develop and implement a Best in Class approach to Supplier Relationship Management including;
- Supplier segmentation based on risk, spend and criticality
- SRM engagement approach of how to deal with various supplier segmentations
- Guidance on future SRM strategies and engagement
- Coordination of Supplier events
- Education across Group Procurement Community on SRM framework and methodology
- Engagement with corporate peers to share knowledge and learnings
- Development and implementation of Supplier Risk approach to support SRM framework leveraging activity currently in place across the Tesco Group and external Best Practice
- Increasing the visibility throughout the supply chain particularly in relation to risk and criticality of supply
- Work with Chief Innovation Officer to build innovation pipeline and identification of opportunities
- Proactively generate activities and supplier events to trigger innovation benefiting Tesco
- Working alongside the Tesco Innovation team to support and drive increased innovation across the supply chain
- Potential to support other areas of the Procurement Transformation as required
You will need
- Proven organisational skills
- Strong influencing and stakeholder engagement including senior stakeholder engagement
- Proven team working approach
- Experience of developing and implementing SRM frameworks
- Deep understanding of Supplier segmentation and Supplier risk
- Strong Microsoft office skills
