About the role

Reporting to The Head of Procurement Strategy & Delivery, the Procurement Development Lead will play a critical role in supporting the overall Procurement Transformation of GSNFR within Tesco. With a focus on supporting the development and delivery of Tesco GSNFR Group Procurement’s learning and development strategy, ensuring that learning is aligned to both the Group and functions’ strategic priorities.

This role will require flexibility to support other elements of the Transformation including supporting the reporting and analytics of the £500m GSNFR cost reduction program, engaging with all parts of the GSNFR community and helping to deliver other initiatives and projects as of the Procurement Strategy & Delivery team.

You will be responsible for

  • Developing and implement a Best in Class approach to Procurement Learning & Development
  • Developing the GSNFR Learning & Development Strategy
  • Working closely with those across the GSNFR Procurement community to drive adoption and support for the new model
  • Benchmarking against other high performing procurement organisations
  • Ensuring the appropriate soft skills training mechanisms are in place to support all members of the team
  • Continually adapting and updating the learning and development toolbox to remain up to date and aligned to new technologies and techniques.
  • Leading the GSNFR graduate programme, ensuring that all graduates undertaking roles within GSNFR are taken through a structured journey of development
  • Supporting analytics, reporting and presentation creation within the Procurement Strategy & Delivery team
  • Assisting and leading on a variety of Procurement Strategy & Delivery initiatives and projects as they emerge

You will need

  • An adaptable and flexible approach to project work to enable support across a diverse project portfolio of activities
  • Experience in change programmes and training needs analysis is desirable
  • Experience in establishing and setting up a learning and development framework is desirable
  • Strong influencing and stakeholder engagement including senior stakeholder engagement
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience within consulting industry highly desirable
  • Proven team working approach
  • Strong analytics and data reporting skills
  • Strong Microsoft office skills
