About the role
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our Global Controls & Compliance team in Finance, reporting to the Head of Global Controls. You'll be tasked with managing Tesco's project to comply with a UK Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) style corporate governance requirement over the next 24 - 36 months. You'll be passionate and skilled in project management, collaboration and communication, with a subject matter expertise in internal controls over financial reporting.

You’ll deliver our control improvement plan roadmap, ensuring we have the right financial controls to set up us for success.
You’ll be part of newly formed second line of defence team and have responsibility for dealing with a number of senior stakeholders.
UK SOX provides us with an opportunity to overhaul our controls and you’ll be in the driver’s seat.
Key responsibilities
- Engagement with all relevant stakeholders - Finance Teams, Technology, Global Process Owners, Senior Management and others
- Developing and maintaining project tracking and planning documents.
- Recording and maintaining risks and milestones and escalating these as required.
- Project reporting to various stakeholders including the Controls Steering Group, Deputy CFO and Group Controls Director.
- Delivering elements of the project along
- Day to day management of any external resource engaged to support the project
You will need
- Educated to degree level in a relevant subject.
- Strong experience in a finance, controls, internal audit or accounting practice.
- Experience in and good working knowledge of SOX requirements
- Strong experience of Project management and successful delivery of projects.
